36. Give hard disks a friendly name (XP):
In your computer have the store different files on each one-programs on drive C, for ex; music files on drive D. open my computer, right click the hare disk and select Rename, then type in something appropriate-we called our second disk ‘music and video’.
37. Disable user Account control (vista):
User account control (UAC) is a best security feature and it can be disabled. Open the control panel, then user Accounts and click the ‘Turn user account control on or off’ before clicking continue. UN tick the box ‘use user Account control (UAC) to help protect your computer’ and click ‘OK’.
38. Check your specs (XP):
It is helpful to some basic information’s about the parts inside your PC. For detail on processor and memory, right click my computer icon and select properties. You will find ‘Computer’ , the type of processor inside, along with its speed (in MHZ or GHZ) and the amount of memory like as ‘512 MB of Ram’.
39. Scan again for wireless networks (vista):
Wireless networks do not always view the first time you perform a scan. Vista will re-scan after a while, but there is no need to wait. Simply press F5 to start another scan immediately.
40. Move My documents (XP):
Hard disks are larger and cheaper than ever. It is easy to keep documents and programs separate. If you have added a new hard disk, it is easy to move My Document folder over to it. Click the start button, right click My Documents and select properties. Click the move button and then select a folder on the new disk. Click OK once again and click yes to move existing documents to the new folder.
