6. Partition a hard disk (vista):
Vista is possible to divide a hard disk more than one partitions that windows sees as separate disks. Click start; right click computer and select the manage option. Select Disk management, right click the disk and select shrink volume. Enter a new size for the partition and click shrink follow the wizard of create and format the new partition.
7. Make room for start menu favorites (XP):
In start menu shut in space for six short cut to the most used programs, but if it is not enough. Right click the start button, select properties and click customize button. In centre of the dialogue box, use up-arrow button to increase number of icons will be displayed and then click ‘OK’.
8. Restore a Delete Recycle Bin(vista):
To right click the Recycle Bin, there is a delete option. To get it back, right –click the desktop, select personalize and click ‘change Desktop icons’. Tick the box next to the Recycle Bin option and click ‘OK’.
9. Automatically log into Windows (XP):
PC has a single user account it might silly to type in a password every time you start it up. To avoid this click start, then Run and type control user password 2 and pressing enter. To UN tick the box labeled ‘user must enter a user name and password to use this computer’ and click ‘OK’, enter password, again click ‘OK’.
10. Add Run to start menu (vista):
After moving from windows XP to vista, incase miss the Run option from windows XP start menu. In vista right click on start, select properties and move to start menu tab before customize clicking. Tick the ‘Run command and click ok’.
